Do not try to fix a hard drive through your own devices or by using commercial software "utilities." Shaking or banging the drive might cause more damage than just lost data. If you get a CRC (Cyclic Redundancy Check) get the drive to us as quickly and securely as possible! Don't use Windows utilities such as Scandisk or Format. Scandisk is only for minor software issues – not hardware. Format will change the structure of your drive and make it more difficult and costly for data recovery. Finally, call us!
